he watches me

pass him

as he sits

i glance over

he smiles

i wonder

what he's thinking

is it

the same as me?

not possible

that would be

too good

to be true.

the dance

she moves rhythmically

feeling the music pulsate

through her supple body

i watch her

in awe

she is georgeous

the curves of her body

her fragrance mixed with sweat

the music gets faster

she moves accordingly

swaying her body this way and that

never stopping

music becoming frantic now

her body contorting like rubber

sensual

beautiful

as the music starts to fade

she slowly backs away

until she's completely off the stage

and out of my life

until tomorrow night.

flooded by moonlight

i am waiting

i look out

at a spectacular view

the lights of the city

stretch out

and touch the horizon

the quiet of the mountain

deafens me

i see you

you touch my hair

long and flowing

down my back

i quiver at your touch

your arms envelop me

my trembling ceases

and is replaced with

anticipation and excitement

you notice

my change of mood

and move in accordance

we now seem as one

nothing else exists

in my mind

the pretty flowers

bright, vibrant colors

leaves on trees

blowing gently in the soft breeze

me

laying on the cool grass

looking up at a clear blue sky

i hear the chirping

of nearby birds

the scurrying of a small cat

running past

but suddenly

everything starts to shake

the grass is collapsing beneath me

the sky is turning black

the birds are silent

the cat has run away

the world is falling apart

everything goes black

when i open my eyes

you are there

looking at me

i close my eyes again

trying desperately to regain

my world

the world i have

without you

but it is gone

forever

you killed it

you killed me.
